DISTANCE: 35km (including trip to the shop). Zaovinsko jezero is an artificial lake filled, so we are told, with water pumped up from the Drina, created in the old Yugoslavia’s glory days of grand engineering projects. And very picturesque it is too!

Tara National Park is one of the most bike-friendly areas of Serbia, with lots of mapped trails running all around this spectacular corner of Serbia. What a shame we didn’t take any of them today.
