Red, White and Boom - a play on words of "Red, White and Blue" - is the name given to a series of firework displays held in the US to mark 4th July, Independence Day. The largest is in Columbus Ohio and regularly draws over half a million people. Not to be confused with Red, HOT and Boom, a similar event held in Orlando.
The whole show is free (well, it's quite hard to charge people to watch fireworks!) and is financed through corporate sponsors, including Pepsi-Cola and the US Army. The fireworks are all different colors though. Perhaps one day there will be an all-red firework display! We can but dream...
