Billy Talent are a punk-influenced rock band from Canada who are primarily of interest to us here owing to their song Red Flag. Although they may not be Communists, the red flag symbol is certainly meant to suggest revolution, as do the lyrics of Red Flag: "Build a ladder if there's a wall / don't be afraid to slip and fall / speak for yourself or they'll speak for you. // we dont need them // Cast off the crutch that kills the pain, / the red flag wavin never meant the same / the kids of tomorrow don't need today / when they live in the sins of yesterday."
