  • Small bug-fix for WordBay 0.5BETA

    Another silly bug in WordBay 0.5BETA - there is a <h2> tag not closed properly, resulting in a mess in the rest of the template in some browsers.

    This will be fixed in the next version, but to mend it yourself in the meantime you can find edit the plugin code at line 255 where it says:

    $newcontent .= ‘<h2>’ .
    $stilltext .
    ‘<h2>‘;

    and (you guessed it), change the <h2> that I have underlined to </h2>.

      Hi Mark
      In the light of the recent massacre at EBPN are you considering making Wordbay work with Pepperjam? I’m safe (so far) but very nervous of where this is all leading. You mentioned some time ago that it would be relatively easy to do. I’m considering moving some of my sites to Pepperjam if I can use WordBay just in case.

      Hi Janet,

      I am way behind with WordBay and with answering some other questions from users - what with holidays etc. I have quite a backlog. By “massacre” I presume you are referring to the expiration emails, which I have fortunately not received, though they are VERY worrying, and this piles on the insecurity for eBay affiliates. Another reason I am reluctant to invest time and effort in developing WB further right now.

      I am not sure when we talked about PepperJam, but there must have been some crossed wires because I have no idea how PepperJam even works, all I know is what I have read on DP and elsewhere, that currently there is no access to the eBay RSS feed through PJ, so there is no way I could get WB to work through their program, sorry… If anyone knows better, by all means let me know. Let’s stay in touch anyway and see how things go. If the opportunity arises to migrate WB to PJ I would certainly consider it.
