WordBay is a simple, but powerful and FREE tool for building a eBay auctions niche site using WordPress:
(click to visit site)
1. You can create new pages of products simply by writing a new Wordpress page and inserting the [wordbay] tags. In this wasy you can quickly create a whole hierarchy of shopping pages, and it literally takes minutes! You can insert a listing into a post too, and blog about the products on offer.
2. Admin panel in Wordpress backend which allows you to choose country, category and other parameters.
3. Option to include eBay signup link for your specified locale, which means more potential sign-up commission!
4. Option to include search form at the bottom of listing, so the user can keep browsing using YOUR site!
5. Dynamically-generated expanded search link, so if the visitor doesn’t find the item they are looking for they can be redirected to eBay to keep hunting - with your affiliate code, of course!
Also:
- built in link obfuscation, to get rid of “rover.ebay” links and help prevent the “footprint” problem!
- insertion of “nofollow” into product links, to prevent link-juice leakage - eugh! - and potentially stop robots nosing around to see what you are linking to (except Yahoo, which seems to like a “peek” every now and then).
WordBay may not be as big on features as some solutions out there, but it’s quick, simple and best of all - FREE!

I am not a coder. Can you tell me how to change the color of “click here for details” link?
Thanks
Hey man, I’m new to BANS and blogging, and I have to tell you how glad I am I stumbled on your script! It’s great! The only thing is, I’ll have to tweak the code a bit to make the background match my blog’s colours. It’s a dark-grey now, and you can’t really see the words. Also, I’d love to find a way through Wordpress to add your script to the right-side of the page, rather than make it on the left where regular blog-content goes.
Thanks for making a great free tool!!

Hey, glad you like it! Yes, I didn’t really provide too many instructions about how to tweak the CSS etc. but I was kind of hoping most people could figure it out, I hate CSS coding myself..! But all you have to do is open the .CSS file and change the background-color setting under “.firstlocaleitem” to whatever you want.
As for adding the script to the right-hand side, you mean like in the sidebar, so it appears on every page? Unfortunately, I had thought about this and I don’t think there is any simple hack that even I could do, and I wrote the thing. The way WP plugins of this type work is to take the CONTENT, i.e. page or post content, and parse them for the tags, in this case [wordbay]… Sidebars work a different way, it would have to be a widget of some kind, and I have not yet investigated how to do this. You could just add some of the widgets that eBay provide…? You don’t want to clutter up your page with too much affiliate stuff anyway - Google will drop you like a ton of bricks!
All the best!
