WordBay

The quickest way to start earning from Wordpress and eBay!

WordBay is free to use - I do not even ask for donations any more (though those who did donate - it is very much appreciated). You ARE, however, very welcome to use the "generosity" option in the WordBay backend to leave a small percentage (hey, or large if you want!) of impressions - these are what keep me remotely motivated to continue developing WordBay. Thanks.
P.S. If you are doing any stuff that's against EPN Terms though, I'd rather you didn't share impressions, I don't want to get banned along with you! But thanks anyway.

  • Features of WordBay

WordBay is a simple, but powerful and FREE tool for building a eBay auctions niche site using WordPress:

    (click to visit site)

    Vintage Point

    1. You can create new pages of products simply by writing a new Wordpress page and inserting the [wordbay] tags. In this wasy you can quickly create a whole hierarchy of shopping pages, and it literally takes minutes! You can insert a listing into a post too, and blog about the products on offer.

    2. Admin panel in Wordpress backend which allows you to choose country, category and other parameters.

    3. Option to include eBay signup link for your specified locale, which means more potential sign-up commission!

    4. Option to include search form at the bottom of listing, so the user can keep browsing using YOUR site!

    5. Dynamically-generated expanded search link, so if the visitor doesn’t find the item they are looking for they can be redirected to eBay to keep hunting - with your affiliate code, of course!

    Also:

    - built in link obfuscation, to get rid of “rover.ebay” links and help prevent the “footprint” problem!
    - insertion of “nofollow” into product links, to prevent link-juice leakage - eugh! - and potentially stop robots nosing around to see what you are linking to (except Yahoo, which seems to like a “peek” every now and then).

WordBay may not be as big on features as some solutions out there, but it’s quick, simple and best of all - FREE!

I am not a coder. Can you tell me how to change the color of “click here for details” link?

      Thanks

Hey man, I’m new to BANS and blogging, and I have to tell you how glad I am I stumbled on your script! It’s great! The only thing is, I’ll have to tweak the code a bit to make the background match my blog’s colours. It’s a dark-grey now, and you can’t really see the words. Also, I’d love to find a way through Wordpress to add your script to the right-side of the page, rather than make it on the left where regular blog-content goes.

Thanks for making a great free tool!!

Hey, glad you like it! Yes, I didn’t really provide too many instructions about how to tweak the CSS etc. but I was kind of hoping most people could figure it out, I hate CSS coding myself..! But all you have to do is open the .CSS file and change the background-color setting under “.firstlocaleitem” to whatever you want.

As for adding the script to the right-hand side, you mean like in the sidebar, so it appears on every page? Unfortunately, I had thought about this and I don’t think there is any simple hack that even I could do, and I wrote the thing. The way WP plugins of this type work is to take the CONTENT, i.e. page or post content, and parse them for the tags, in this case [wordbay]… Sidebars work a different way, it would have to be a widget of some kind, and I have not yet investigated how to do this. You could just add some of the widgets that eBay provide…? You don’t want to clutter up your page with too much affiliate stuff anyway - Google will drop you like a ton of bricks!

      All the best!

      Hi there,

I think your plugin is absolutely great. I would really appreciate the code to include this into a normal text widget, if you could help i would very much appreciate it.

      Hi Daniel,

Glad you like the plugin! If you mean you would like to insert the code into a template and have it display in the sidebar, for example, then sorry, unfortunately I never wrote it with that in mind, so the plugin would need a bit of a rewrite before it can do that. It IS on my list, but it’s just going to take a while for me to fix…

I wish you if you could enable the plugin to have a feature that allows the user to integrate the ebay store. Because I have a ebay store and want to display the products on my website which runs on wordpress cms.

      look forward to this feature.

      thanks

Hi, is it possible with your script to do something similar to dealfinder.ebay.co.uk but with the following filters: auction only - ending in the next hour - country only i.e. UK only - max 50 deals. Thank you for your time. Filippo.

Hi, sorry, missed your question for some reason. That could theoretically be included, but I don’t have any plans for that at the moment, or indeed to add any new features. QCP has totally demotivated me to continue developing unfgortunately…
